It could be a consumer account, a small business owner or even a larger corporate account, due to circumstances, whether influenced or controllable by them, appears to teeter back and forth across the line of no return.

There are no assets to be recovered. Their reputation, not only with us but all other creditors is damaged just about beyond repair. Legal action? Perhaps, but get in line, spend more money and then try to get value from your court order if you manage to win.

Raise our voice and become a pest? They are getting that already from some of the agents acting on behalf of their other creditors and besides – it is not our style.

Bold or simply resigned, they may even say to us, “There’s nothing you can do.”

“Mr. Customer, that is not true. We have not given up on this debt and we have not given up on you. We are both fortunate to come from a country where we believe in second chances, even third and forth ones if that is what we need. At almost any point in our business or personal lives we can stop where we are heading – and say no!
